“Recipes don’t make food taste good. People do” ( Samin Nosrat)

Cooking classes in Tuscany, Florence, Chianti and holiday rental

I have been teaching cooking classes in Florence and Tuscany now for more than 8 years and I absolutely love it!

While focusing on cooking skills and recipes I truly hope that with each and every class I can share what food and cooking represents for me.

In Italy tradition and food are bound together.  Every recipe is testament to the history and the heritage of the surrounding culture in its original environment. By keeping this traditions alive we allow them to adapt and evolve, becoming part of our modern life.

Sitting around a table, enjoying a meal amidst others, is one of the most rewarding ways we can honor ourselves. A meal with family and friends is something far greater than simply eating, laughing and chit-chatting, it’s about savouring an experience together and creating lasting memories.

For my cooking classes in Florence and in Chianti region, I always select seasonal ingredients, locally grown from the surrounding Tuscan hills. You will learn how to make appropriate use of each of the ingredients. These choices are key in understanding how to nourish the human body and respect the environment in a wholesome and sustainable way.

Taking part in my cooking class in Florence or in Chianti area will improve your cooking skills. You’ll learn which knife is the best for chopping veggies or which one to use to debone a chicken. You’ll discover which flour makes the perfect fresh pasta or why a certain pan is right for cooking risotto. They are minor details, but what a big difference they can make.

Cooking is of course serious stuff – intimidating, even. I will coach you to improve your skills and I will remember you to have fun while doing it.Be courageous and change things around. Taste new foods. Explore new flavours, be playful in the kitchen. I encourage you to take my recipes and make them uniquely yours.
